Heigmundr

The second Storm King. Heigmundr was lieutenant to Gornningr the first Storm King during The War of the Elves and the Giants and claimed the title after Gornningr's death.
Heigmundr was unable to recover the giants' fortunes. By the time of his accession, the southern giants had already withdrawn from the war. Heigmundr was a skilled tactician and a mighty warrior, but he lacked the charisma and diplomatic skills of his predecessor. Although able to hold the coalition of northern giants together for a time, a series of military setbacks in the later part of the war chipped away at his authority. The Fire Giant queen Helbrodda denounced Heigmundr and withdrew the fire giants from the war. After this, the giants never again won a major battle.
With the Imperial forces closing in, and his own troops deserting, Heigmundr retreated to Giantskeep. He was assassinated (poisoned) by another Storm Giant .
No other Storm King arose after the death of Heigmundr.
