Halflings

Diminutive race common throughout Ettrea. Halflings generally live alongside humans, preferring comfortable towns and villages to either bigger cities or remoter locations. Halflings have rarely had careers of note, are rarely heroes and have never been nobles. Consequently, history has largely ignored them, at least in Ettrea. Historians are not even sure when they first arrived in Ettrea. There don't seem to be any records of them in the Old Empire. Some historians believe they arrived with the Wessmen, but again, human legends make no mention of them. The halflings themselves neither know nor care about their origins. Halflings typically only care about their own family, and they have no myths or legends of their own.
