Cen Brathelak

A colony of the Old Empire situated across the Celestial Sea from Ettrea, on the north coast of Arddol.
Cen Brathelak was regarded as one of the most beautiful of all High Elf cities. It flourished as a major port city for millennia.
When the souther Giants joined the War of the Elves and the Giants, Cen Brathelak found itself on the front line. It did not survive. A massive army of (mostly) Fire Giants sacked the city and almost all of its inhabitants were slaughtered. The occupying giants were in turn massacred in somewhat mysterious circumstances by an army led by the wood elf Hierophant Druid Caemus .
The long-abandoned ruins of the city are said to be haunted by the ghosts of the elves who were killed there. It is now a dangerous and seldom-visited place.
