Erboren

It has been almost 1800 cycles since the Rebellion of Dragons ended and since then the world of Erboren has slowly been changing. In recent times the Human race steadily expanded their influence as their increasing numbers now form the majority of the population in the continents Harts and Nishm. Many new kingdoms have formed and the edges of the map are getting filled in.   The Blessed Races Alliance is taking almost no concern in the growing number of humans having to deal with the domestic turmoil that followed after the fall of Veghit - God of Nature. Edheldor the Elven homeland has been torn apart by uncertainty and fear and as a result is losing many of its people who are being divided between various leaders bearing words of promise. The Dragonborn lost one of their two colonies as it declared its independence from the main government and founded a new nation - Drehava. The dwarves of Austriheim the only Dwarven presence on the continent of Nishm revoked their seat in the Blessed Races Alliance and effectively severed their ties with the nations who still honor the contract.   Changes have also occurred deep in the Tichomrok jungles which is changing the political map of southeast Nishm as a new order is getting established, the order of the Beastoids. Intelligent beasts have founded new states and dominions, and slowly but surely continue claiming the lands as their own. With ambitions and territories ever-expanding, some borders and interests are starting to collide. Conflicts are sure to follow.   Magic steadily made its way into the lives of people. What was once only dreamt of is becoming a reality. Hundreds of lives are being spent entirely in search of ancient wisdom and knowledge and hundreds more are dedicated to arcane studies and experiments. At the same time the presence of the gods is less and less evident. Stricken by disbelief many started asking the questions if the stories they have been taught were true, if these beings were really gods and if they are even real or just made up.   The demise of Veghit caused many changes in Erboren and created times marked by ambiguity and doubt. Humans may be a threat to the Blessed Races Alliance or potential allies. The BRA could be counting its final hours unless a solution keeps the oldest of pacts alive. The Beastoids surely bring a new era of cultural and scientific enrichment but they could also bring with them the ambitions of a new world order. Magic is the means to a new age of prosperity yet at what price remains to be seen. The gods are idle but one should never doubt omnipotence.   The present poses many struggles and shall test the faith and will of countless souls in their attempts to press on as they wait for the future. If one thing is certain it is that only the future knows the fate of the world born in fire.
