Age of Dragons

Era beginning/end

The Benevolent Guards

"If you really want to know I don't mind telling you about the origin of my ancestors. Our kind was created to serve the purpose of guardians of this realm. The Goblin plague had ran this world thin and it was the Dragons' purpose to keep the wild ones from destroying it beyond recovery. " - Ancient Brass Dragon Bormin

The "Age of Dragons" is one of the utmost historical significance. For the longest time it seemed like a utopia as the world of Erboren was in balance cared for by its new fierce but valiant guardians. The Gods adored their new creations teaching them magic and letting them explore the secrets of Erboren without any restraints and the Dragons adored the deities who had given them life and a world they were left to roam freely.   Millennia passed while the Dragons grew more knowledgable and more powerful. Little was left to be discovered yet many Dragons didn't want to stop there. After an organized rebellion and with the evocation of really powerful magic the Dragons crossed realms seeking to slake their thirst for power and managed to mortally wound the God of Nature Veghit. With vast disappointment and furious anger the rebellion was swiftly dealt with by the rest of the Gods. Most of the rebellious dragons were killed but some of them managed to flee in hiding. For the rest of the Dragons who had opposed to the treacherous act of their kind the Gods had a different punishment. This episode will be remembered in history as "The Rebellion of Dragons".
