XXXXXXXXX

XXXXXXXXX, God of Darkness and once a cheif deity now part of The Dead, is a deity of shadow, stasis, and the quiet protection of life. Known as The Shadowkeeper, The Silent Guardian, and The Veil of Night, XXXXXXXXX embodies both the tranquil peace and the fearsome power found within darkness. As a member of the Divine Triad, alongside Moradin and Pholtus, he represents the heart and protective love of the universe. Despite his mysterious nature, he seeks to shield life from suffering, promoting balance through stasis and quietude.

Physical Description

XXXXXXXXX is often depicted as a tall, shrouded figure with an enigmatic, featureless face. His skin is deep obsidian, absorbing all light, while his eyes glow faintly with a cool, ethereal blue or violet light, giving him a presence both calming and ominous. He is usually wrapped in flowing, dark robes that blend into the shadows, making him seem like part of the night itself. Artists often show him with hands stretched outward, as if offering protection, with subtle shapes of stars and constellations on his robes that symbolize his connection to the deeper universe.

History

As one of the Divine Triad, XXXXXXXXX was created when Erathan divided himself into three aspects, each embodying a fundamental part of his being: Moradin received creativity and the drive for expansion, Pholtus took passion and order, while XXXXXXXXX was granted the heart—empathy, stasis, and a deep, protective love. In the early era, XXXXXXXXX sought to create life that would protect and guard the universe’s delicate balance, giving rise to the elven race, the first sentient mortals. By imbuing his creations with his essence, he gave the elves a natural affinity for the Weave and a love of twilight and peace.
XXXXXXXXX played a pivotal role during The Divine Era and The War of the Divine, helping to maintain the balance between Moradin’s expansive creation and Pholtus’s cycles of life and death. His approach to preservation was unique; he valued stasis and saw preservation as a form of compassion, even if it meant preventing the natural progression of life. However, this belief often conflicted with the desires of the other gods, especially Pholtus, whose passion for order and growth clashed with XXXXXXXXX’s vision of eternal calm and protection.
After the War of the Divine, which saw XXXXXXXXX’s relationship with mortals strained due to his efforts to maintain order without disrupting his ideals, he found himself weakened. During the War of Eclipse, a cataclysmic struggle involving his aspect and the encroaching powers of darkness, XXXXXXXXX ultimately perished. His death marked the end of an era and left a void in the hearts of his followers, who continued to seek his guidance in the shadows he left behind.

Moderate Boon: Shield of Twilight
Once per day, you may cast darkness as an innate divine spell. If cast to protect others, this spell provides a +2 circumstance bonus to saves against fear effects for any allies within the darkness. This reflects XXXXXXXXX’s power to shield and comfort those in need.
Major Boon: Keeper of Balance
Once per month, you may invoke XXXXXXXXX’s blessing to create a safe zone in an area you designate, causing hostile creatures to make a Will save to enter it.
