The Dawn Cataclysm

Disaster / Destruction

5381ASB

After centuries of languishing in her prison and the ward that held her depleting, Tah'kat breaks free. This prompts a battle of epic proportion against the gods and remaining ancients. The fallout would change the world irrevocably and lead to the creation of other plane and the birth of dark gods.

For centuries the corruption of Tah'kat would seep out of her prison and take the hearts of those who forgot her imprisonment and yearned for power. Mortals would seek out her prison and even begin to erect monuments to her not quite know what it would lead to. Eventually mortals would find the wards keeping her sealed and in ignorance they would disrupt and destroy them. This would give Tah'kat the leverage she needed to sunder her prison and escape and here demonic progeny with her.

The remaining ancients attempted to stop her but were no match for her especially in their weekend state and she would be successful in attacking the tree and plunging the world into darkness. Desperate and dying the mortals cried out for succor and across astral expanses the gods heard them. With thunder, fury, and divine wrath the gods stormed Erath and brought their might against the hungering chaos. Auros, Grimnir, and the last ancients attempted to subdue Tah'kat while Cenuros, Lunastra, and Osmira prepared to send the tree back to the Astral Sea for its protection and healing. Tah'kat snaked by her aggressors and struck at those attempting to save the tree, dealing a grievous blow to Lunastra. Seeing his 'full moon' fall Cenuros flew into a rage. Taking the form of a savage predator and unleashed a brutal attack against the serpent. This bought the other gods enough time to send the tree off world. Osmira then turned her attention to the mortals suffering amongst this war with the gods and prepared a way forward. Opening pathways to places beyond the road warden stood guard as mortals took what they could and journeyed to distant parts unknown.

As Lunastra's essence dwindled as did the moon causing to wane, eventually nothing but cold darkness and death remained, but out of that darkness a new thing emerged. Garbed in the aethereal and shadow strode fourth Amara, goddess of fate and death. Together with the rest of the gods they began to gain ground on Tah'kat.
