The Demogorian Simic Hybrids
Deep in the jungles of Nohola is a small city of exiled Drow who believe that the bodies and minds of the Drow Elf can be altered to be even better. They once used their extreme intellect and ideas to bring great glory to the Drow-kind on Elendorus. A small group found that the best way to increase the power of the drow is not through technology, but biology. A new scientific process was invented by this group; the ability to splice genes, graft body parts, and combine the two to create the "perfect" Elf. Once this discovery was brought to the council of Drow, the matriarchs and Lolth herself were disgusted by the experiments. They believed that the Drow were already at the peak of creation and that any alterations to them were only suitable as punishment, like in the case of the riders. Lolth decreed that the group should be expelled from the Drow city and to be excommunicated.
On their voyage out of the city, they were visited by a new benefactor. Demogorgon had gotten word of their experiments, their expulsion by Lolth, and their newly found need for a place to live. He offered them help to survive on the island of Nohola if they pledged loyalty to him. He said that under him they would have the freedom to work on their goal of perfection and access to the notes and findings of his various experiments and that in return, he would ask for their bodies and souls if he ever desired. The Drow accepted, and by doing so, changed their course of evolution and growth entirely. They no longer considered themselves Drow, they were not even Elves at this point. They decided that they and their ancestors should be called Demogorians in honor of their new God. Many years and many generations have passed since this newfound deal. No Demogorian has been called upon by Demogorgon or his generals for any reason and the years have made many forget or not care about the deal made so long ago. Still, the culture of the Demogorians calls for experimentation and alterations of not only their bodies but of the creature's bodies around them. In and around their capital of Symetria, one can find unnatural creatures familiar and changed. While some question their methods, their intent is not wholly good or evil, though many worry for the time when Demogorgon calls upon the debt owed to him.
