Kulmataz Observatory
High in the Yormaz Mountains a monetary library is home to one of Evangils largest concentration of scholars and researchers. While not all those that live and work at Kulmataz are magic users, a great deal are and many specialize in Divination, Conjuration and the movement of the planes and astral bodies. Much of the observatory is dedicated to its vast library, with tomes ranging from informative to the highly speculative, all retaining to the study of the world, the planes and the magic weave in one way or another.
The mountaintop observatory is not one sole building per say, although tunnels connect every building, but more akin to a small campus clinging to the cliff side. Three buildings surround the mountaintop at slightly differing altitudes, spiraling up towards the observatory building itself on the peak. The dormitory with its halls sitt at the lowest point of the complex already at an impressive 3.500 meters above sea level, this building also provides the only non magical way into the observatory via the funicular station in the buildings lower levels.
Taking the funicular down the mountain provides a spectacular view of the valley below as the platform moves down the slopes and through several tunnels on its way down to Pravda.
The library and research buildings bridge the gap between dormitory and observatory, and house laboratories, offices, storage and more. In the tunnels below many of the less necessary utilities are housed, including the Yormaz guard chambers.
The guards regularly patrol the area around the peak and the funicular tunnels to keep them clear from roaming beast and intruders.
