The Night Frost Malakar Mournblade
The Night Frost, Malakar Mournblade, is a a prince of the Winter Court who was sworn in service to High Queen Leowyn. One of the few Winter spirits to not succumb to Shadow during the Blighting of his court, he was marked as a traitor and hunted by followers of Queen Leowyn.
Eventually overcome and bound to a mortal form, he proved resistant to control and was locked away for nearly two thousand years before being found and freed by the Lady Aria Nytraven. During his imprisonment, the Winter Court was cured of its Blight and a new High Queen of Winter crowned. Finding himself now mortal in a changed world, he swore himself to the Lady Aria as he attempted to ascertain and process his new existence and the past he lost.

Knowledge of the Night Frost is scarce in modern times. However, he has made mention in passing of other names and titles he has held throught out the Ages. His exact age is uncertain, but he has made references to remembering a time before most of the mortal races existed.
