Showing talent with arms and combat Daereth was trained from a young age be Kelvaron and frequently accompanied him on the early expeditions to clear Forna Vasar of the dead. When the matron of their house gave birth to a daughter, Daereth was just finishing his training and was assigned as the young elfs body guard. He has spent the last 99 years as her shield and continues to this day,

Daereth has several scars both from his training and his time fighting the dead, the most prevalent is a bite shaped ring on his forearm where a Ghoul paralyzed him during his training.

Daereth prefers to wear military styled garments when possible, to always be ready. Generally in his padded gambeson and House Surcoat when not going into danger, this mix of padding and maile make him ready for action in most situations.

Personal history
At first Daereth resented being the guardian of the houses heir. He had dreams of noble battles destroying the dead of their homeland, the reality instead turned to long watchful nights. As Aria grew he soon became quite devoted to her, his loyalty shifting entirely from the houses Matron and her first husband. His dreams also fading, replaced by her ambition and the desire to see her vision become a reality. His life had always been by design to be in service to the house, just the manner of it had changed.

Daereth proved the victor of several tournaments and other marshal challenges in his youth. His later years he could only boast a flawless performance as a personal guard, given no harm has befallen his ward.
Mental Trauma
Daereth struggles with the memories of his nearly fatal encounter with a pack of Ghouls, becoming paralyzed and souly at their mercy. He has never found being restrained all that pleasant since.

He is slow to come to conclusions, weighing what information is at hand. He trusts in those he follows, but is careful to regard their decision making process, that they too use prudence and sound judgement when deciding the fate of himself and fellow warriors.

Daereth holds to the true queen of winter and did not become a Snow Elf when the blight was lifted. Within the shadows he retains powers to better exact his ladies will. He very much believes the Ends justify the Means.
