Clan Winds Fury

Winds Fury is a younger clan, having split from Tempest at the conclusion of the Second Dragon War, they had conquered territory that was occupied by Dark Grove and decided to settle it, instead of returning it to Viridian and Sea Spray. This has made Wind Fury disliked by all three clans ever since. Being a very militaristic and warlike clan, everything revolves around their military and naval efforts.

Structure

Winds Fury is a strict martial clan, where all members of the clan serve the military from logistics to entertainment to active combatants. The Clan also has a very meritocratic approach to its command structure, favoring the most skilled and able instead of those from specific familial lineages.

Culture

The clan has a strong sense of communal service, seeing the Chromatic clans as an existential threat to all of Eraneth, they train to be forever ready to meet them in battle and defend the world from their destruction. They tend to hold the Silicate clans in disdain, finding them unwilling to stand for anything, and those be untrustworthy.

Public Agenda

While the Clan lost most of its top Admirals and Generals when the dragons slumbered, the command structure was quick to promote and refocus a new Marshal to take command and ensure the domains and forces of Winds Fury were just as dangerous even without the support of Dragons.

Assets

The Clan boasts one of the strongest maritime fleets in the World, having ferried their entire clan to these lands to occupy them. This has lead them to be able to strike out across Eraneth and establish trade with the Faenir Islands as well as many other regions. At home they have rich lands and forests to ensure their armies are well provisioned.

History

Winds Fury was created in the Second Dragon war as the most militant members of Tempest liberated their current domains from Clan Dark Grove, but instead of returning them to their proper owners, settled them and kept the hoards, vaults, and settlements liberated. In the Third Dragon War, Winds Fury was quick to act, striking against Dark Grove at home and being an active combat force upon Loristia.

Demography and Population

Winds Fury did not claim vassals as they were not a clan in the Age of Wonder, however their martial leanings attracted Summer Elves(30%) and Orcs(30%) predominatly. Since they have also recruited Humans(15%) from afar and favor Half Dragons(25%).

Agriculture & Industry

Winds Fury's primary industry is being shipwrights. The surrounding forests provide plenty of timber and they are skilled in the building of ships, being attributed to the creatores the exceptionally swift Draconic Frigates. Their agriculture areas provide many staples for a well fed army, but they do lack many refined goods which they trade for.

Infrastructure

The region is well devoloped with road ways connecting the various farming and logging communities to the Winds Fury Capitol upon the sea. They also use the local river systems to move logs and goods to the sea.
