Clan Aureate
Clan Aureate tends the golden fields and forests North of the Ary. With a mind of prosperity and progress, they are the more progressive of Gold Dragon Clans, believing that abundance will lead to end of conflict between dragons and perhaps even mortals. They defend their domains fervently and are not afraid to exert their will upon others with whom they trade, of course knowing that their orderly contracts and well defined rituals will lead all to the prosperity they have enjoyed.
Structure
Clan Aureate is built upon strong Aristocratic houses derived from the various dragon lords. These Aristocrats pursue land, trade and wealth to gain favor and standing with their dragon lords, and, build their expansive hoards. Kindred are generally an inherited title, so long as they prove solid aptitude in the running of business or the commanding of armies.
Culture
Aureate is an industrious clan, where sloth is considered a great cultural sin. Honest hard work are viewed as the hallmarks of their society, along with well defined contracts, methodologies, and practices for nearly all aspects of life. These refined rituals apply to social gatherings, business dealings, and interactions between houses and other clans.
Public Agenda
Since the quieting Aureate has taken very aggressive stances, pushing to establish a port in territory that is arguably not their own, but belonging to Clan Summit. Aggressivly pushing into rival Clan Frostblood mountains, and gauging many of their trade partners who rely on their grain and food stapples in trade.
Assets
Clan Aureate has some of the richest lands for crops in the North of Ioban as well as a vast and dense forest for lumber and other forestry goods.
History
The Clan has always been slow for Metallic clans to join the great Dragon Wars, finding such conflicts to be bad for businesses in the end. During the quieter ages, Aureate was one of the first to branch out and deal with the mortal kingdoms, finding them eager trade partners for advanced Dragon Kin metallurgy thru ought the ages.
Demography and Population
Aureate favors Elves of Spring and Summer originally, finding them enjoyable companions(45%). Halflings(15%) and Humans(20%) have also been found to be of great service working the fields and as general hearty and good natured laborers. About 20% of the population are half dragons of predominatly Elven descent.
Agriculture & Industry
Golden fields of wheat stretch for as far as the eye can see. The breadbasket of the North, Aureate provides much of the food to neighboring clan vassal states. Their vast forests also give them a large lumber and forestry industry.
Infrastructure
Aureate has an expansive road network south to the Ary, and into neighboring friendly clans. They also once had a large barge network down the rive thru the mountains into Summit territory before much of it was lost to Clan Frostblood.

- Aureate Tongue: Skilled in negotiation and mercantile work, members of the Clan gain a +2 bonus to Diplomacy or Intimidate for any negotiations.
- Champion of Order: The well orderly fighting of the Clans training allow them to exploit gaps in more chaotic oponents. Gain a +1 to hit and damage against chaotic characters.
