Adalon Enre

Adalon Enre

Tall, amethyst half dragon, with a mane of flowing white hair and a violet skin covered in patches of crystalline scales of his draconic lineage. Depending on situation, either seen wearing well fitted flowing clothes, or a fine suit of elven maille and a seven foot long curve blade - nearly as long as he's tall.

Son of the Ancient Amethyst Dragon Tyvesdos and his current Kindred Vassal Moon Elf Endala, Adalon was brought into the world already laid heavy with expectations. From his earliest years, he was put into rigorous martial training so that he would be selected as a Kindred Vassal for one of Tyvesdos’ draconic lineage.

As a member of the Enre clan, Adalon benefited greatly, as did the rest of the clan, from Tyvesdos’ patronage. Growing up in relative luxury in a sprawling family estate overlooking the Violaceous Gardens in Amaranthine, Adalon was immersed not only in his martial training, but also surrounded by influential elves from all walks of life. Ambassadors to the Council Ary, Spiritual leaders, ranking Military commanders are all part of clan Enre. While the clan’s wealth is independent of Tyvesdos’ patronage, as Enre owns and maintains a large swathe of farmland beyond Amaranthine, Adalon was rarely involved in the tending of natural things until his cavalry training began, and more recently when Fenian, the clan’s druid, brought a small number of drakes into the clan’s holdings.

Personal history

As a member of the Enre clan, Adalon benefited greatly, as did the rest of the clan, from Tyvesdos’ patronage. Growing up in relative luxury in a sprawling family compound overlooking the Violaceous Gardens in Amaranthine, Adalon was immersed not only in his martial training, but also surrounded by influential elves from all walks of life.

With the quieting of the gods, and the great slumber of dragons, Adalon’s life was turned upside down, since everything he trained for suddenly became an impossibility. Under the guidance of Tyrael, the clan’s vitalist and spiritual leader, Adalon entered the Temple of Times End. Despite the gods’ silence, the priests and clerics of the Temple were still a great source of wisdom. While he displayed some minor skill at magic and psionics, Adalon was never quite talented in either. This changed the day he stepped through the temple’s gates, as his skin and the scale patches acquired an inner glow which intrigued the priests greatly. They came to a conclusion that stepping through the gates of Chronakarah’s holy place at the right time, awakened a gift the goddess of time and fate, but none were able to discern what the purpose of that gift was as their usual inquiries were met with silence that still frustrated many of spellcasters dependent on a divine connection. Thus Adalon was schooled in channeling his newfound power, and encouraged to seek what fate Chronakarah had in mind for him, with most common theories being that it has something to do with the silencing of the gods, as his gift only awoke after that fateful event.

In the years after the quieting, Adalon had a chance encounter with a Hunter named Ayrien and the two kicked off a relationship frequently training together when Ayrien wasn’t out keeping an eye on Ary’s borders.

Meeting the Squire
3rd Respitday of High Spring

Having found a seat at a table off to the side at the First Steps, Adalon and Ayrien ordered some food and drinks and and settled in to enjoy the meal and whatever show the tavern was putting up at this time of day, planning to lazily spend their afternoon before the appointed meeting.   They were barely able to finish their meal when a young woman, no more than twenty summers approach their table. "Lord Adalon Enre?" She asked with a soft but confident voice. Her long black hair and lightly ears betrayed a shadow elven ancestry, but her facial features were closer to those of a Kindaran.   "It is I" Adalon responded, barely needing to look up at the standing woman from his seated position "how can I help?"   "My name is Neia. I believe it is I who is to help you, the High Priestess told me I will be able to find you here" she stood at attention, her stance making it obvious she knows how to use the longsword at her side.   At the mention of the High Priestess, Adalon cocked his head sideways curiously "Oh? Please sit" He would gesture to one of the open chairs at their table and then to Ayrien "This is Ayrien, my partner, and you obviously already know my name. Tell me then Neia, why does the High Priestess think you can be of help to me?" As he spoke these words, a faint glow started in his chest and spread to his extremities, lingering in his eyes for a moment.   The spell took effect and the young woman understood that her ability to mislead was being restricted. She simply smiled, knowing she had no nefarious purpose. "When I was but a little girl, I had a vision of standing beside a half dragon warrior. I didn't understand it then, and it took many years of study and guidance to piece things together, but I came to understand that this half dragon warrior is you, although you look younger than in my vision, and that the lady of prophecy wants me to be at your side when the fate of the dragons will be decided, perhaps the fate of the world. Your involvement in the defense of the hatcheries was a sign that events are beginning to unfold, and the High Priestess told me it is time to meet my destiny" She would smile gently "and so here I am"   Adalon was silent for a while, contemplating what she had just told him before nodding slowly. "I would not be where I am today, had I not placed my trust in the lady of time and fate. I may have believed in coincidences once, but no longer. I was contemplating taking on a squire and suddenly you appear out of nowhere. I remember you from the temple, were you not a ward there? Refugee from the war?"   "I was, my Lord, yes" she would turn her head at the mention of a squire. "Squire my Lord?"   "Yes" He would nod "You clearly know how to use that sword at your hip, but your stance is a little off, you may have been taught the basics but there is still much you must learn. If you are to stand beside me as you said, I am not going to leave you without guidance and training opportunities."   "I did not presume to ask my Lord, it would be my honor" She spoke exuberantly, momentarily losing her composure.   Simply nodding, hiding a small smile, Adalon would reply "Gather your things from the temple and make your way to the Enre estate, tell them I sent you and you will be given a place to stay. Tomorrow we will make it official and your training will begin."

Don't forget
3rd Adalsday of High Spring

Belanor has been extremely helpful with the enchantments. I'm writing this down not to forget to find a way to repay him.
