Personal history
Born a long time ago, Anja had a rough childhood, growing up an orphan. At a young age, she was taken in by a guild of assassins and was raised in their ways. She was shown to have a knack for assassinations and other covert operations. When she was 21, she got her biggest assignment ever, to kill the Red Queen of the Dread Isles. Who ordered it and why didn't matter to Anja, only that she completed her task. The assignment proved too tough for her though. After weeks of studying her mark, she still hadn't found a way she was comfortable with to carry out the assassination. Knowing that taking more time would increase the risk of her being discovered, she decided to roll the dice. What she didn't know was that the Queen had spotted her halfway through her time studying the Queen. She managed to get close to her mark and had it not been for the supernatural reflexes of the Queen and her awareness of Anja, she would have succeeded. Not willing to return with a failure, Anja threw herself recklessly at the Queenbut was quickly subdued. She expected a quick execution, but to her surprise, the Queen offered her continued existence in exchange for her fealty and service. Knowing that she effectively was dead to her old family, the guild, she accepted the offer and was given the Blood Kiss. Since that day, she has faithfully served her Queenas her personal assassin and saboteur.
