Eosonys

Eosonys is a world of advancement. Several centuries removed from the end of its first age, after a cataclysmic event known as The Ruination; it has now entered the beginnings of a renaissance. Magic has been the way of things, but newfound technological discoveries are slowly changing people's way of life.   These advancements are widening and intensifying an already painful class divide. The rich become richer, hoarding wealth and technology. While the poor starve in the streets, unable to keep up with the ever-changing state of living in the burgeoning techno-magical environment. A condition only exasperated in major metropolises and large population centers.   Even so, there are opportunities for adventurers and ne'er-do-wells alike.   Thieves and mercenaries are in high demand amongst those looking to protect their wealth and knowledge as well as those looking to prise the same from their competitors and contemporaries.   Similarly, those willing to traverse into the more dangerous corners of the land can discover ruins and artifacts left from the previous age. Powerful divine and arcane instruments can be had by souls smart, brave, and lucky enough to survive.
