Description: Terian Teàrlaidh was a druid and herbalist who traveled the Gar Marches, the shores of Lake Altau and the Jars Forest extensively documenting the plants and their uses. Many of the plants that Terian documented were traditional foods and not specific to medicinal use. Others are listed due to the harm they could present to animal husbandry. Terian has been credited with also drawing upon Tylwyth knowledge and adding that to the traditional herbalism. His artistic abilities allowed the illustrations to accurately depict the plants as they are found in nature. The careful notes on the habitat and locations where the plants are found are the reason for this book to be sought after by many. Some find the book to be confusing due to the lack of organization and so there have been more modern codex’s or indices to aid others in quickly finding specific plants in this very large tome. The wooden plates can be very plain or ornately carved. The images in the earliest copies of these books are exceptional, however some more modern copies have very poor images (reducing the quality to 175%).
