Description: Tarrin was a herald within the titled nobility of Anderia and provided counsel to some of the more successful of the members of the Anderian court. Taking advantage of his popularity of the time he created this treatise in order to expand on his influence. To some extent this succeeded but then it failed when he was eventually shunned by the same court attendees he taught. Years later it remains an excellent beginner’s introduction to the ways of both the royal and titled nobility society including mannerisms and the unspoken rules of how a gentleman should approach and romance a lady. Women too are coached on how best to guarantee a good relationship as well as present her best assets. The ‘rules of Love’ are now seen to be humorous at best with anyone in court seen to be using them is not so quietly called out as being ‘a Tarrin’.
