Marwolaeth i Gobobl
Marwolaeth i Gobobl.
Goblin’s Bane: +10 Twylyth Broadsword
A very ornate and flowing blade that really
does not look like any broadsword most have
seen. There are golden ornate flowing wire
inlay scripts along the center of the fuller on
both sides written in ancient Tylwyth Hen. The cross
guards have engravings with gold wire inlay with gems
encased in holes near the ends of each guard using the
same wire as the hilt of the sword; one being a 1ct Black
Opal while the other is a 1 ct Sapphire . Mounted in
the pommel there is a 3 ct Amethyst. The grip is made
of wire that intertwines copper, electrum, gold, silver
and platinum. There is a 1 ct Jade stone mounted using
electrum wire inlay in the ricasso of the blade as well as
electrum wire inlay depicting a dying goblin. The blade
of the sword has dark and light waves along it that seem
to continuously be moving but only when looked at
from askance.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
This is a Device of Power.
A continuous Detect Goblins spell at Lvl 8 (PSF 48%)
which glows Orange along the fuller of the sword when
a Goblin is sensed. The sword also provides a Greater
Ward against Goblins at ML 8 and PSF of 48%. The Ward
is cast whenever the Tylwyth word “ Gobobl “ is shouted,
at a cost of 3 charges. The sword has 69 charges and recharges
at 12 charges per day. The sword also provides Enhanced
Mental Fortitude by +25% by the holder and those within 60’
whenever it is drawn from a scabbard, using 3 charges
and lasting for 15 minutes.
+10 Goblin Bane Sword:: additional
+2 to all Crit Die rolls. On any Crit
of 10+ it will instantly kill a Goblin
regardless of Body Points, unless they
are wearing Magical armour which
then provides a Con AR -50% + 5% per
Lvl of Magic Armour to prevent instant
death (success then has normal critical
damage applied to body). On Crit Die 12,
it will cut two unarmoured men in half or
kill any other living creature with 54 Body points or less,
irrespective of armour. On Crit Die 11, it will cut one
unarmoured man in half or kill any other living creature
with 42 Body points or less, irrespective of armour.
Magic armour reduces this instant kill damage by 1 per
Lvl of armour.
History
The sword was given to the High Chief of the Badger tribe High Chief Teague, over 800 years ago, as a gift after the tribe helped to defend the Tylwyth Teg from the Tylwyth Du during the Tylwyth civil war. The sword was lost when the High Chief was ambushed while out on patrol.
