Description: Thaufler was known as a mercenary of exceptional reputation who either fought with or counselled during the battles fought between the baronies and King Karonus. Thaufler’s treatise is a fair documentation of the effectiveness of various troop formations and how both terrain and armaments can be deployed. Chapter One discusses infantry and the uses of long reach vs short reach weapons and the interactions with Cavalry. Chapter Two analyses archers and how best to combine them with both cavalry and various sizes of infantry formations. Chapter Three deals with both heavy and light cavalry. Chapter Four is an extensive treatise on shield walls and the use of pikes. Throughout the book there are maps of battles, illustrations of arms and armour, depictions of battles as well as diagrams of troop formations. These illustrations tend to be without annotations and the placement of supporting text may be several pages displaced from the images.

Skills: Battlefield Tactics skill improvement this is a 100% quality book in its original Moorabic and 125% quality book in the translations.
