Personal history

Phineas was born to a poor family on the outskirts of Highmark. He spent much of his early life helping his father in the family bakery. However disaster struck when he was seven years old when his family's bakery was destroyed in a fire and his parents were killed. He was sent to live as an orphan and found a home in the nearby chapel. He studied the various religions and eventually found he had a passion for learning. The local priest noticed this as well and sent hi to Clearwater so that he might have a better education. It was here that he learned the various theories and beliefs about the gods and the histories of the world. At this time there were many competing theories on the realms of the gods and how they interacted with the world. Each church had their own beliefs and considered their gods to be never ending.   Phineas took particular interest in the Keepers. They had many stories from the Age of Heroes. He used this knowledge and many others and created a model for how he believed the universe worked. At this time mages knew about and could sometimes even travel to the realms of the gods. Phineas believed that these realms were all tied together in a web of sorts and so he created a model that was used to connect them all.   His model showed the Paths that the gods resided in and how they were all connected to a more powerful Hold. He also believed that in addition to the Holds there was a final single plane of existence that connected all of the holds together.   Phineas ended up dying alone in Clearwater with very few believing his ideas. At the time, his model was discredited as heresy by many of the churches. It wasn't until after his death that his ideas really took hold.   When mages began to study further into his ideas they did indeed find strands of powerful energies linking some of the paths together. A powerful mage, Artemus took up the case of Phineas's model and was able to conclusively prove that the Holds exist. This however ended up killing him in the process when he attempted to travel to this new plane of existence. Today his model of the universe is considered the de facto model that is taught within theological and arcane circles.

Education

Phineas was initially taught the basics of his education at a small chapel outside Highmark. When he showed promise and eagerness to learn he was sent to a library of the Keepers in Clearwater for further study.
