Elves have longer faces with sharp angular features. Distinct noses and pointed ears are also hallmarks of an elf.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Elves can speak Elvish. A language was developed all on its own. Whereas the dragons gave language to the humans and other races, the elves were the only race to create their own language from scratch it is said. Elvish always has a musical quality to it no matter the dialect being spoken.

History

Elves are one of the older and long lived races of the world. While even they have forgotten their origins their oral history goes back to days in the Age of the Primordials. At one point it is said that all elves were together as one people. Over the millennia they have split into three groups. the Mountain elves, Sea elves, and Forest elves. While biologically they are nearly the same their cultures and history are vastly different.
