Chapter 3: The Iron Mines

Having infiltrated the Sozarian dwarves currently rebelling againts the Kingdom of Alteria , Bosh , Ulysses Turlock , and Tua recieved a mission to capture a nearby iron mine. Along with a team of dwarven warriors they left early in the morning and traveled out through the mountain pass into Alterian territory. Despite the cold weather there was little difficulty in getting to their destination. They arrived at the mining town and Tua snuck over the walls to investigate while Bosh, Ulysses, and the dwarves went through the main gates. They found that somebody had arrived before them as there were bodies of Alterian soldiers and miners scattered throughout the town. Tua found a few soldiers who managed to escape the massacre and he quickly dispatched them. Many heads left their shoulders that day. The group met up and proceeded into the mines. thye found more bodiues and as they traveled deeper they met a small group of Vestonian Mageblades , an elite force among the Vestonian army. The mages mentioned that further in was the main bulk of the Alterian resistance. Bosh attempted to persuade them to lay down their arms and surrender. As many of the soldiers had no love for the mine or even this frigid continent, they were willing of their commander allowed it. their commander however, refused to surrender his post due to his honor. Bosh used this honor against him and challenged the captain to single combat. the battle went as expected and the captain became a crumpled heap on the cave floor. The soldiers surrender the mineafter Bosh promised them safe passage. On their way out the dwarves asked where they were going to kill the prisoners and Tua told them right here. The soldiers, unarmed, were brutally killed as the dwarves ripped them apart.
the group traveled back to the dwarven outpost. As it was the end of the year they stayed for the Long Night celebrations to await the coming of the new year. On the first day of the new year as the weather took an unnatural turn towards warmth the Sozarians told of their plans to attack their old capital, the city of Ravndal. They tasked the group with infiltrating Ravndal and establishing a way for the Sozarians to get inside the city to avoid a siege.
The group arrived in Ravndal on the 3rd day of the year and quickly got to work. Bosh and Ulysses made friends with the gate guards and investigated a way to sabotage the gate while Tua shadowed the commander of the garrison. When word of the dwarves arrival was announced by the scouts the group put their plan into effect. Bosh and Ulysses killed the gate guards and broke the gate causing it to be stuck open. Tua assassinated the commander and hid his body. The group readied for the dwarves assault on the city...
