Gruumsh

The Wanderer. He Who Never Sleeps. The One Eyed God. The Warmaker.

At the Division of the Worlds, the rest of The Nine rigged the lot and orcs were denied a homeland. Consequently, too often an orc will only have what they can take, and Gruumsh’s hatred for The Eight is deep and slow-burning. His enmity for Corellon is deepest and hottest: the god of magic was the primary agent behind the prank that rigged the lot, and it was he who took Gruumsh’s eye during the Dawn War. Gruumsh allied with Lolth during the Dawn War in an attempt to destroy Corellon and the eladrin. After the Sundering, Gruumsh was exiled to wander the planes, much as his favored people do theMaterial Plane, but he is bound to serve as the gods’ warmaster at the Reckoning. As one of the Nine, Gruumsh is still honored widely, mostly because adherents are afraid of what will happen if they slight him.
