The Miasma

Causes

No one knowns for sure, but it is said that The Miasma is somehow communicating with the intelligences of the Non-organics

Symptoms

Those affected will either attack those unaffected or drag them into The Miasma so that they can also be infected. AI seem to be fully aware of what they are doing and who they were before, while VI seem to attain an animal level of consciousness, developing problem solving skills outside their programs

Prevention

AI and VI must be kept away from The Miasma at all cost

History

At first many thought that this was simply rampentcy, but that changed when a member of the Regulators was exposed to The Miasma while trying to save a group of scavengers and then immediately slaughtered most of them
