The Gate
Summary
The Gate was a technological marvel that was created to facilitate space travel, but its activation and creation went slightly awry, and instead of allowing for teleportation beyond the stars, it ripped open Gates to other planes and spheres. This is the origin of nearly all non-human races within Enyu, they crossed the barrier of the Gate to make themselves part of the world, until much later when it became necessary to go through the Gate for survival.
The Gate is also the rumored origin of the Fog, and the cause of the Black Sky incident. However this could never be confirmed and may never be confirmed since the location of The Gate has been lost for millennia.
On top of those rumors, it is said that the The Orun are looking for The Gate to use it for their own ends.

Historical Basis
Most take stories of The Gate as distant fairy tales and feel it ridiculous to blame the current problems of the world on a single thing or event. This however is not true for The Sefate, who know the stories to be true.
