When Ello first traveled to the world, it was empty. As they visited the lands created by Enone, they seeded it with beings like themselves. Their appearance changes with their whims, never looking the same way twice. This gave rise to a variety among the races of the world.
Ello is frequently seen as a patron of travelers and adventurers. Their name was originally used as a greeting, which over time has transformed into the commonly used "Hello", and its variations. They are also a patron of new beginnings.
In the reverse, they can be seen as a symbol of naivete and foolishness.
