Delarus (Dell-a-russ)

The Tome-Keeper

The Tome-Keeper spends his eternity writing in his scrolls, recording history. He and his acolytes store and study records of history, often to blinded to the future and the now. The lasting legacy of the past is sacred, and to be carefully preserved and learned from. Records of heroes and villains, lineages of royal families, any kind of historical record that can prove fruitful for the future are hoarded in secret caches, majestic libraries, and arcane recordings.   Those who revere tradition often look to the eternal rememberance of their ways as divine validation of the old ways and can resist change. Some accept their lot in life without the will to climb upward. Others see the past and its lessons as absolute, and the future blind without its illuminations.
