Umiwari Empire

Located in the westernmost part of the known world, home to an empire struggling with itself.   Initially very close-knit, the Umiwarin population ultimately divided during the rise to power of the first Sei Taishogun '征大将軍'. On the western side of the archipelago are those who want the people to choose their sovereign, whereas on the eastrn side, those who want to leave the choice to the divine representative (Zenchizennou '全智全能') and the presence of innate abilities.   Today, this difference is felt in the daily lives of the people, who feel more supported and listened to in the eastern side.

Further away from the continent stands the Umiwari archipelago, made of two main islands and a hundred of smaller islands, islets, reefs, coral reefs and bays known as the Bay of Isles.

The main island is that of Netsuma. There can be found the capital as well as numerous holy places. The other major cities include Shibetsudo, Phuyen, Nishi and Kyokokawa, located north, southwest, west and east of the capital respectively. Smaller islands on the eastern seafront are considered to be a part of Netsuma as well.

The island of Izami is the second main island of the empire, located west of Netsuma. The largest city and unofficial secondary capital is Hezhou, while other major cities are those of Kaifeng in the north, Xiangyang in the northwest, Cheonje on the westernmost island and Yuntian on the south coast.
It’s the lair of the Kyuuei Clan, main opposition to the shogunate. Many villages have been deserted or wiped out by the Kyuuei’s rule.

The channel separating the two main islands is sprinkled with rocky reefs and hidden rocks, making hard to travel directly between Netsuma and Izami.
