Physical Description

General Physical Condition

As a sea elf, Sishara has an incredibly long lifespan of 1,000 years or more. Despite being over 270, she is still very young and has yet to reach her prime. Being a practiced Ranger in the least forgiving environment in Ec'algor has given her great stamina, strength, and nimble adeptness. Among adventurers guilds of the world, she would be considered a high quality inclusion and a worthy fighter.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Sishara was born in the deserts of Spirix and has seldom left in the more than 200 years of her life. Her birthplace was called Kurtulsdrawn, a semi-permanent outpost for nomadic tribes to rest that was southeast of Sable. The area was abandoned following the return of water in the shadow of Des'dorakha, now only the ramshackle ghost town remains.   Her parents were both Guides, a long-honored title among desert nomads who assist individuals and groups traveling from one edge of the desert to the other. Guides are highly knowledgeable about Spirix in all manners, including geography, climate, history, demography, and cultural lore. Considered to be among the best of their era, Sishara's parents tutored her well in the ancient practices of their people as they traveled from Ilneval's Mouth to The Maw and everywhere in between.   As she grew older, she saw many battles and small wars break out between traveling tribes, most over precious resources like water and patches of vegetation. During these difficult times, Sishara and her parents always prioritized using their training to locate food and drink to bring back to the warring clans to diffuse the situation. Things radically changed in 1099 when Crixis was dissolved and the influence of The Colum Kingdom was severely limited within Spirix's territory. The new Des'dorakha was constructed in its place and plentiful water began to flow. Perpetual townships were created all down the river that now flows through half the desert, and the number of people dying from thirst dropped to virtually zero.   Her job as a Guide became easier as well. Before the emergence of Des'dorakha, much of a Guide's duties were devoted to surveying the land for tracks to direct travel away from large predators. With the establishment of larger, enduring townships and cities in southern Spirix, many of the larger predators have fled to the corners of the region, crowding around the base of The Green Line or the coasts of the Kelsyvo river. Religious fundamentalists say that since the Church of Solanil's return to its old ways, the wrath of The Dust Devil has been calmed.   Now the conventional routes of travel are reliably safe and any additional resources found during expeditions are largely redundant. Sill, Sishara sticks to the old ways taught to her by her parents and pays reverence to the gods of Spirix, ancient or otherwise. She believes deeply in the traditions of her people, and of her parents, and practices them diligently to carry their memory with her for all time.

Failures & Embarrassments

During an expedition in 1095 Y.E., Sishara acted as the Guide for a group of adventurers and merchants traveling from Huvora to Colum, a full West to East caravan with over a dozen carts and tens-of-thousands of gold pieces in merchandise. During this journey, many of the merchants underestimated the importance of her warnings and disobeyed her commands, allowing their caravan to travel out of synch for nearly a quarter-mile. With the smaller group traveling behind by so much, it attracted the attention of one of Spirix's apex predators, a gargantuan armored scorpion colloquially known as a Winnower. The caravan suffered devastating casualties and she was poisoned by the creature with an organ-liquifying toxin. Forced to abandon the journey, they stopped in Crixis for medical attention. To this day, she carries the scars of the failed caravan on her body, her ego, and her reputation.

Intellectual Characteristics

Sishara's mind is one seemingly built to take small pieces of information and make key connections with them. She knows the most minute details about Spirixian flora and fauna--she famously predicted the migratory pattern of carnivorous scarabs by noticing a specific breed of cactus flower in bloom and directed her caravan around the beetles to safety. She can use the position of the stars and direction of the wind to determine the next day's weather. She can use the shape of the mountains in the Green Line to estimate distance from practically anywhere in the desert.   She also has a deep appreciation for religious lore and stories. Almost every location and vista has associated mythology and Sishara knows them all by heart. She knows the stories of where and how each of the gods and races of Spirix emerged and the destiny of the word "Des'dorakha". She knows all the old stories of Thassa and her daughter Solanil, as well as the legend of the desert's avenging spirit, The Dust Devil, or Varamtasch.
