Northern Forest
The Northern Forest is large and unpatrolled, meaning there are no safety guarantees while travelling there. To further add to this, the Ramerians imported various dangerous beasts and released them into the forest to act as guardians against anyone thinking about approaching their base through it.
Various smaller bands of ne'er-do-wells have set up inside and there is even talk of a small village of outcasts, protected from prying eyes by the dense thicket.
There is a large lake filled with fish on its southern edge that is connected to Ester with a river. In previous times and during the war, smugglers would use this to sneak past the patrols and get their goods through the Northern Forest to their buyers, but back then it was a lot safer to travel there.
