Journey's End
Journey's End is the northernmost known place on Engwilt - the Legends tell that if you travel North far enough, you will eventually find yourself gazing at the massive gate. Nobody has gone further. Dozens have died trying.
It's bitter cold there. Two vast winged winged stone shapes guard the gate on either side. Travellers speak of the statues constantly looking at one no matter where you stand, despite them clearly not moving.
Its colour seems impossible to describe, as if being merely what remains when all other colours have been devoured. Draw close enough and your very breath freezes, the remaining ice shards falling to the ground. Travellers are strongly adviced against touching the thing.
But at least I was able to confirm the existance of the Exile Post, used by miscreants to ask the gods themselves for forgiveness, a story I always discarded as an old wives' tale. I doubt the gods would care what is written out here, yet it proves I still have much to learn.
Regardlessly, the whole time I was considering the post and taking down my notes, the two massive statues guarding the gate seem to have constantly been looking at me, but it is hard to tell with their missing faces, really.
They are of a strange material I really can't identify over the distance and my travelling companions have strongly adviced me against climbing up there to get a closer look at it. It seems similar to resin: smooth yet uneven, yet distinctly the wrong colour. If it can even be called a colour.

When I last visited there, my expedition found an ancient wooden post, pinned upon which were countless writs begging for forgiveness by those exiled by the gods themselves, written in ancient tongues I have never seen before as well as our modern language. The misdeeds described there will give me nightmares for days to come and I do not find the strength to write them down in me.
