A Smuggler's Sea Shanty

Hey, up! from the Mourn and to the Crow now,
Hey, up! and a-full steam ahead
Hey, up! we'll berth her out and show how
a true sunborn sails the sea with no dread
Hey, up! fill those larders up here
Hey, up! get those cannons loaded well
Hey, up! shine the lantern bright, we're
a-heading out to where the constant companion lie
Hey, and up! the cannons they're a-firing
Hey, and up! the waves they lash the bow
Hey, and up! next port we'll be a-hiring
another lad or lass to take a smuggler's vow
Hey, and down, and we see the treacheries protect us
Hey, and down, and we hear the Minister's relieved sighs
Hey, and down, we shan't feel the White's scorn tonight, for
as long as Salt ne'er knows, all is well

A truly strange shanty sung by smugglers and even some respectable sailors. Nobody quite seems to know what most of it is referring to, and the last verse descends into pure madness.
