The Goedendag

When the peasantry needs in the hinterlands of the Empires revolts, once ugly certainty is known to every Knight and Noble. That every blacksmith forger will be turning ash cabers into staves, fitting them with cheap iron spearheads and weights. The purpose of a Goedendag is to dismount a knight, by either knocking him off with a whack from the improvised maul or killing his horse, then beating him senseless with the maul, before killing him with the spear point or knife through the visor.   Dying by a mob armed with Goedendags is a slow and arduous lesson in the pain tolerance of the human body for blunt trauma.
