Elyndros, the Flame-Born Crown
Domain: Glory, Ambition, Empire
Titles: The Sovereign Ember, Lord of the Ascendant Flame
Symbol: A burning crown over a rising sun
Origin Among Mortals:
Elyndros was not born in heaven — he rose from the dreams of mortals who burned to rise above their station.
In the twilight years before the Dark Awakening, as fractured kingdoms warred and Weavers carved dominions with the Aether, there came a longing not for peace — but for purpose. From the ashes of fallen warlords and the iron will of conquerors came the first whispers of a divine force that justified rule: the right to rise, to reign, to shape the world through ambition.
Elyndros was born from that longing — a god wrought not from mercy or mystery, but from drive. Where others prayed for guidance, those who gave rise to Elyndros prayed for the strength to claim what was theirs.
Nature of the Flame-Born:
Elyndros embodies the flame of aspiration — not the fire of destruction, but of refinement. Fire that purges weakness. Fire that forges empires. His essence is tied to mortal will: he grows stronger where people strive for greatness, regardless of the cost.
But Elyndros is no patron of the petty. He demands vision, sacrifice, and iron resolve. To worship him is to set oneself alight with purpose — to accept pain, hardship, and bloodshed for the sake of something greater.
Manifestation & Imagery:
Elyndros appears in visions as a golden figure wreathed in controlled flame, with eyes like molten crowns. His silhouette burns at the edge of the horizon in times of great upheaval — a rising sun that promises dominion to those bold enough to seize it.
His symbol, a burning crown over a rising sun, is often carved into banners, engraved into blades, or scorched onto the flesh of the devoted.
Cult and Worship:
Worship of Elyndros persists even in the dark age. His followers are fewer now, but fiercer. They are warlords, merchant princes, visionaries, and tyrants — any who see in the broken world not ruin, but opportunity.
His temples are rare, but where they exist, they are fortresses. The faithful call themselves Emberborn, and their rites are harsh: fire-walkings, oath-burnings, and conquest-trials.
Some Emberborn claim that when the world is united again under one vision, Elyndros will walk the earth as its first and final Emperor.
In the Age After the Dark Awakening:
Elyndros’s power waned when the empires fell and belief fractured. But ambition never truly dies. Even now, in hidden valleys and ruined capitals, flames flicker behind desperate eyes.
He is whispered of in war councils, in the dreams of children born in rubble, and in the hearts of those who cannot kneel.
