It has been more than 11,000 years since the great war between the Elven Empire and the Great Coalition ended and ushered forth an era of relative peace unprecedented in history.   Unfortunately this mighty era has come to a close as the eastern country of Serdio is now split in half thanks to a full-fledged civil war. One one side, King Lambert, son of a murdered Sovereign must take head of a weakened nation and,despite his young age, find a way to keep hold on his new throne. On the other side, General Jefferey Doel, now Emperor Doel, tries to unite dissidents on his side and unify his country under his strong militaristic rule.   To the west, the country of Tiberoa is under siege by rampant crime and corruption left unchecked by its bumbling monarch more interested in court intrigue than actual governance.   To the north, the great nation of Mille Sessaux is facing a litany of strange occurrences. Disappearances, murders, mutating fauna, and mass illness are more prevalent each day and the powers that be seem powerless to stop it. All of there events seem connected to strange noises emanating from the nearby volcano however, nobody sent to investigate has ever returned.   Amidst all of these events however, the common folk are find themselves to be collateral to the powers that be. That is exactly what the quiet forest town of Seel will soon find out when Doel's vanguardsmen unleash a surprise midnight attack on it.
