Government
The village of Seles, by virtue of its isolated location and relative insignificance in recent geopolitic, does not have an official form of government. That did not stop its occupants however from organizing some form of social structure. By itself, the village does not have a form of authority. Rather, everyone in the village is usually consulted on important matters and a decision is reached by popular vote. Some individuals, dubbed community leaders are considered by the community as possessing particular intelligence or wisdom and are often looked to for guidance. These individuals, although not in power, are usually the leaders de facto of Seles since most people tend to follow their advice. In order to limit disagreements, people are encouraged to discuss problems privately in order to reach relative consensus before presenting the concern publicly.
In terms of social structure, Seles is relatively egalitarian. Its peculiar situation requires its inhabitant to collaborate to a large extent in order to ensure the settlement's continued survival. Although the pragmatic eye might ask why Seles' inhabitants persist in living in such a secluded place, many individuals might answer that the challenge itself is the reason.
Infrastructure
By its nature, Seles has minimal infrastructure. The village is traversed by a single dirt road leading from one end of the settlement to the other, while passing through the middle of town. Most important buildings can be found on this road, with habitations found further out in the woods.
For actual infrastructure, the most important would be a lumber mill powered by the nearby river. There can also be found a forge, a tavern, a herbal shop, a communal house and a hunter's lodge.
