Class Level Abilities

Level 1

Adept Researcher: When access to a laboratory or library is available, a Loremaster can spend time researching to gain a bonus on their next knowledge check. The Loremaster gains a +10 for every 4 hours spent researching to their next check. Additionally if at least 1 hour is spent, roll twice taking the better result.   Expert Lecturer I: Gain a +6 in Debate. Choose a subject, (Law, Theology, Medicine, Criminology, History etc.) when using any rhetoric based ability you may instead use your debate skill if the subject of the roll relates to your chosen field. (ie. interrogating a criminal with a criminology lecture).   Reading Magic: Through their intense studies, Loremasters come into contact with many various magical texts. Loremasters can cast spells from scrolls without penalty and are proficient in such, he gains a +12 in Scroll-Making. When choosing this class pick 10 spells. A Loremaster can take 11 hours - Loremaster Level to scribe 3 spell scrolls given that he has materials to write. The Loremaster can spend half time rounded up to scribe 1 instead. If this class is taken at first level, the Loremaster starts with a number of these scrolls equal to his Intellect (min. 0).   Support Class: All classes consider the Specialist Class Group to be part of their class group for the purpose of multi-classing. A Loremaster can only be in one other class group unless otherwise specified.   Undergraduate Studies: Pick 5 Skills under Knowledge, gain a +10 in each of the skills. Additionally choose two sub-skills under each skill that was chosen and gain a +15 in each. (If no sub-points instead gain +25).  

Level 2

Expert Lecturer II: Gain a +6 in Debate. Choose a subject, (Law, Theology, Medicine, Criminology, History etc.) when using any rhetoric based ability you may instead use your debate skill if the subject of the roll relates to your chosen field. (ie. interrogating a criminal with a criminology lecture).  

Level 3

Expert Lecturer III: Choose a Lecturing Technique:
  • Exhaustive Lecturer: Your lectures are lengthy and monotonous to the point of causing physical exhaustion in your opponents. Make a debate check against the opponent's diplomacy check. If it succeeds its causes the opponent to take -4 to all ability scores for 1 minute. You may continue targeting the same opponent stacking the ability penalty or extending the duration for each future success.

  • Passionate Lecturer: You have a passion for the subjects you speak upon. You may choose one knowledge skill related to your subjects of debate to add your Debate skill to. You may also use debate in place of Fast Talk.

  • Thorough Lecturer: You never leave facts out of a debate. When rolling a Debate check if your roll is greater than 50 before modifiers change the roll to 50.

  • Supportive Lecturer: Your lectures can drill good habits into your allies. Before a complex action you may give a lecture to an ally. Make a hard debate check. If successful add ½ your debate skill to their next skill check.
 

Level 4

Expert Lecturer IV: Choose a Lecturing Technique. You must pick one you do not already know:
