Ghamos

These creatures are enslaved by the Izarrians. Long ago, the Izarrians discovered they could exert control over the weak-willed Ghamos and force them into labor. As a result, it is rare to encounter a Ghamos outside of an Izarrian city, where they are typically bound in servitude. However, small villages of Ghamos can be found in the hillsides of the arctic tundra, where they live in simplicity, focusing on basic survival and rarely engaging in anything beyond their immediate needs.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Ghamos is a small, furred creature with a compact, round body and short, sturdy limbs. Its smooth fur varies in color, ranging from white to shades of brown and black. The Ghamos' rounded head features two beady black eyes, a shiny black nose, and tiny, rounded ears perched atop its head. Each hand is equipped with four fingers, while its feet have three toes, all tipped with small claws designed for gripping icy surfaces. Female Ghamos possess six mammary glands aligned along their chest, discreetly hidden beneath their fur and barely noticeable. Despite their physical adaptability, the Ghamos' brain is significantly smaller than that of most creatures their size, granting them only rudimentary sentience.

Biological Traits

Arctic Adaptation: Due to being a species that evolved in the arctic, they have natural adaptation that results being more resistance to frost & being immune to effects due to cold weather. Ghamos have a +50 Resistance(Frost). Additional adaptations to the arctic tundra gives a +12 Survival(Frozen).

Claws for Ice: They add a +4 WDR Piercing damage to their unarmed attacks. Additionally, when walking across ice, Ghamos gain a +12 to Move Silently. Ghamos also gain a +3 to Survival(Frozen) and a +20 situational modifier to avoid negative movement effects of icy environments.

Strength in Numbers: When combined in great numbers, even the weakest can thrive. Ghamos get a +5 morale bonus per friendly Ghamos within 10m (max 50) applied to all checks. This bonus is nullified if the Ghamos is not under free will.

Weak Minded: Whenever a Ghamos would make a INT save, roll twice and take the worse result. In addition, Intimidation checks are one step easier versus a Ghamos.

Worker's Constitution: A Ghamos can work, walk and do other tasks for twice as long as other creatures before taking fatigue. They receive only half the effects of fatigue and exhaustion.

Genetics and Reproduction

Ghamos reproduce sexually, giving live birth to 1-6 children. The gestation period is six months.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Human Visual Spectrum: The human visual range allows visibility of a range of colors across the middle band of the light spectrum. Creatures with the human spectrum typically have a visual arc of 120 degrees.
