Glinwyc Institute

The only place in the Agroven kingdom where magic is officially studied and taught, the Institute is renowned throughout the land. Each year many hopeful students travel to the capital, though most of them are not accepted into one of the colleges. They must be satisfied with the entry level lectures on magical theory which are open to anybody who wishes to attend.
It was founded by an idealistic elf several years after the signing of the Treaty of the Councils between the cities, in the hope that educating wizards from all cities in the same place would strengthen the bonds between the cities. This ideal has been somewhat forgotten and the Institute has become quite elitist.
It is currently led by the halfling archmage Hawyn Tossfoot, Chair of the College of Abjuration.
