Gol'Norrah
The Deep Warden
An elder Kraken that was created by Asra to serve as her eyes and ears in the deep oceans of Enara, Gol'Norrah is a creature of horror and myth. He is said to be responsible for the creation of the three Tidestones, artifacts that have the power to control the tides and seasons of Enara. A calming force for a time, Gol'Norrah was immensly powerful, and the peace between Mother and Son could not last. Gol'Norrah eventually rebelled from Asra, and has not been seen in millenium. Legends say their battle was accompanied by four dozen years of constant storm and flood in the coastal parts of the world. Sages debate whether he is vanquished, or just biding his time until the time is right to strike. His followers on Enara call themselves The Drowned. Powerful members are said to gain frightening abilities, apendages, and a deep respect for the depths of the world that few can ever see. Sects of The Drowned are rare, as followers of Asra are commanded to destroy them, and other religions shun them. Still, frightening accounts of sea monsters and storms are often attributed to the power of the Deep Warden.
