Vishidal Creation

In the aeons of yore, Vishidal unfolded—a creation of celestial beauty, born from the boundless energy and ethereal essence of the known cosmos. The Ancients, in their divine craftsmanship, melded this realm into a sanctuary where harmonies echoed and equilibrium was the sacred mantle donned by ten formidable deities—the Gods of Karma. Five, bearers of benevolent karma, and the other five, custodians of the shadows with negative karma, were charged with the sacred duty of overseeing the very fabric of existence—weather, flora, fauna, and the sacred waters.
~ First Passage of the Div Itihas, Tome 1. Author Unknown; 1000 BDA

For eons, Vishidal thrived under the watchful eyes of The Ancients and the guidance of the Gods of Karma. However, as time passed, the God of Thought; Met-Budd, grew weary of the monotony and sought to introduce change. In a moment of divine inspiration, the God of Thought created Mankind, granting them the gift of consciousness and free will. This act, however, sparked a great debate among the Gods of Karma. Some believed that Mankind was a disruption to the delicate balance of Vishidal and should be controlled, while others saw the potential for Mankind to lead the world to a greater purpose in the grand tapestry of the cosmos.

Tensions rising . . .

The division among the gods became stark, leading to the emergence of two factions: The Old Ones and The Divine Ones. The Old Ones argued for strict control over Mankind, fearing the potential chaos and imbalance that free will might bring. They sought to restrict the influence of humans and maintain the traditional order that had prevailed for so long. On the other hand, The Divine Ones believed in the inherent goodness and potential of Mankind. They saw the creation of humans as a stepping stone for Vishidal to reach new heights and contribute to the greater cosmic purpose. The Divine Ones advocated for letting Mankind forge its own destiny, free from the constraints imposed by the gods.     The conflict between The Old Ones and The Divine Ones escalated, threatening the very fabric of Vishidal. The once harmonious world now stood on the precipice of a great upheaval, with the fate of Mankind and the future of the world hanging in the balance. The clash between these divine factions would shape the destiny of Vishidal and determine the fate of Mankind, would be known thereafter as

The Eternal War.

The Ancients

Beings of immense wisdom, knowledge and power that surpassed even the Karmaic Gods; there are some heretical beliefs that say The Anicents created the Gods of Karma. It is agreed that with the Karmaic Gods assistance that Vishidal and all its life was created and nutured by The Ancients, inspite of that not much is known about The Ancients and the only origins that we have is a short fragmented text that states:
Before the beginning of time and substance were The Ancients, came aloft spheres of energy from the deepest reaches of the ether.

I really like the idea of the symbols denoting each individual god, it gives off a lovecraftian elder sign vibe. Do they have an effect if someone draws them? Are supplicants punished if written wrong?

No effect if people draw the symbols as these are Archaic symbols that denote each God which are orally and framently passed down through the ages so the forms have been altered, in-world these symbols represent that particular Gods sign before the Eternal War and banner to its forces during it. In reality it is a very simple take on starting a language to this world. Thanks for the potential idea though! ++
