Kingdom of Many Arrows

The Kingdom of Many-Arrows is an autonomous collective of orc tribes amalgamated under a central figure.

History

At the same time as the Caelian Civil War was brewing, the previously nomadic orc tribes of the west recognized a single ruler in the form of King Oloud "Many Arrows" of the Broken Arrow tribe. King Oloud convinced the various tribes that they could join together for a stronger and safer future, his call for peace made the more poignant by his reputation as a bold warrior in battles against lycan pacts and hill giant poachers.   King Oloud I outlawed raiding of settlements in favor of establishing permanent settlements where they could be safe from threats including the growing threat of the dragon overlord.

Territory

Originally founded in the lands around Icespire Peak, the emergence of the dragon overlord Beryl drove the orc tribes from the area. Initially the tribes attempted to settle peacefully within the Cloudcrest mountains, but were not welcomed by the Goliath communities already existing there with the other giant-kin. After being on the receiving end of several raids, the Many Arrow tribes again migrated and settled in the area around a series of abandoned military installations.   The lands currently claimed by the Many Arrows tribes exist largely within Sirastir and Toria. While the dwarven lords of Toria are largely unconcerned with what happens on their surface so long as trade is not impact, both Toria and Sirastir have persisted in their proper claim to the territory and prevented recognition of Many Arrows as a proper kingdom.

Capital

Dark Arrow Keep serves at the seat of power for the Kingdom of Many Arrows. Mostly a military installation, a collection of villages encircles the keep, each with ties to one of the original constituent tribes.

Current Status

King Oloud the XVII continues the line of the Oloud Dynasty, maintaining peace with the Sirastir high council in exchange for freedom among their territory.

Sedition

Over the course of the last century, rogue shamans have represented a growing threat within the kingdom. Averse to the peace-loving ways of the Oloud Dynasty, they paint a narrative reminiscent of war-chiefs from centuries passed and their tribes activities in the 2nd Age, including the sacking of Phandever at it's ancient peak, and the destruction of the Wave Echo Cave.

Structure

Chieftains of each constituent tribes join a council led by the King.
