The Festival Begins

After returning to Bethencourt with the festival supplies in the nick of time the night before, the party awoke to the sounds of festivities in the square outside the inn windows.

The first to awake were Auron and Leutgar, who finding the common room too full to stand, went out to the festival and began some tentative explorations. Auron stood near the inn door where his antlers would be easily identified if their companions awoke as well, and Leutgar went to explore the sign-up tent. Nonetheless Leutgar was actually the first one to be found by one of their companions as Aster, having awoken from his sleep in parts unknown also made his way to that tent.

The party chose to sign up for a variety of the festival contests and events:

  Day 1: Alfgar and Aster signed up for the Swordsmanship tourney, which Alfgar won, leaving him with two greatswords. Aster and Roderic also participated in the Fletching contest, being beaten out by the professionals of course.

  Day 2: Aster, Auron, Roderic and their Warden Edwen signed up for archery, only to find it won by Edwen, who miraculously beat out Aster despite her inexperience. I'm sure she will treasure the bow she won forever... and a mysterious elven lady was observed speaking with Rendel

  Day 3: The day of the tourney... things should get interesting now. Despite none of the players having the necessary equipment to participate, Aster has already found himself escaping up to a nearby roof like a startled cat up a tree upon sighting someone familiar. Who knows what may follow?
