On the day of the Tourney, the party gathered at the fence to watch.

Auron's Aunt Ersebet, a tall, slim, intimdating woman in black armour on a tall slim black stallion came to visit the party during a pause in the tourney to talk to her nephew, and appeared to make a good impression on everyone, despite the general air of creepiness that surrounds her, her “horse” and her armour.

There was some cheating in the second to last fight of the tourney, Godric Gerald shattered his opponents arm for the attempt... but in the final fight he lost to Auron's aunt Ersebet after a hard fought battle, and responded by accusing **her** of cheating because no “old woman” could have beaten him otherwise.

The party visited aunt Ersebet in her tent after she won the tourney, and found the pink-garbed elves visiting her first... who immediately lit into Aster, revealing him to be their “bastard” cousin.

Aster made the mistake of gazing into the black “horse's” eyes as the party left the tent, and saw a glint of red.

The next day was the day of the chess tournament, Leutgar, Roderic and Alfgar participated.

Roderic knocked Alfgar into the loser's bracket in the first round where he was promptly eliminated, and then went on to beat the former champion a dwarf named Ordlaf (pissing off those who bet on him to win), and a little gnome girl who cried when she lost (pissing off everyone). Games were lost, won and conceded, sometimes with table-flipping, Leutgar clung to the winner's bracket for a while before also getting knocked into the losers and eliminated and in the end Roderic and Ordlaf were in the finals, which Ordlaf won, much to the relief of the betting community.

Ordlaf then invited Roderic to come play chess with him and his friends on Aurasday nights at the back of the Inn.

The next day was the day of the melee.

Auron, Aster and Alfgar all participated, and agreed to co-operate as there were no rules against it.

Auron made use of his threatening aura and stranger appearance to intimidate his opponents into submission.

Alfgar simply wrestled his foes to the ground.

Aster made use of the distraction his teammates provided to slip in and extract the scarves he needed without the opponents even knowing.

In the end, Aster tied for the win, and shared a fine meal at the inn and a barrel of ale with an uncouth old woman named Frigyth who dominated the competition by grabbing them in sensitive areas....

... Aster was evidently quite uncomfortable sharing his table with her as he soon joined a shadowy elven woman at a table in the corner instead...

Leutgar found a "lost cat" flyer on the bulletin board by the Adventurer's guild counter, and he and a tipsy Aster went off to find the cat in the dark.

Though they did find a cat, it was not the cat they were looking for, and upon further searching the slums, they instead found a frightened skunk and a woman with a broom who chased them crying "rape". As midnight approached, teams were selected and territories were allocated for the mock battle, leaving Auron set against his comrades for the final event of the festival... we will see who wins on the morrow.
