Session 1, the First Assignment

Expedition

After meeting with Aethelweald, the carter, our intrepid party makes arrangements to escort his wagons to Hewe the next day.

On the road to Hewe, everyone got the feeling that someone, or something, was watching them from the woods, but no-one caught sight of who or whatever it might have been other than some swaying branches.

Spooky stories were told around the campfire where they stopped to overnight in the woods, and the second day also passed without incident other than the feeling of being watched.

At the end of the second day the party arrived in Hewe, some shopping and other shenanigans were conducted, and then everyone eventually ended up in the Axefall Inn.

In the Inn, a raucous party was underway, but the party took a rather shabby room despite that, and Leutgar and Roderic managed to hear each other well enough to have a quiet chat. Auron spent an hour cleaning the room with prestidigitation, and Aster took one look at it and went to sleep in the woods... though he was interrupted by a guard.

In the morning the wagons had collected a handful of small crafters wanting to mooch an escort of their own on the way to Bethencourt for the festival.

The feeling of being watched returned once they left town... and late on their first day of returning, the wagon Aelfgar was driving lost a wheel in spectacular fashion.
