D&D 5e Character Creation Guidelines for 'Echoes in the Mist: Shadows of Emberfell'
Welcome, brave adventurers! As we prepare to delve into a world of high fantasy, mystery, and danger, it's essential to craft characters who are not only unique and engaging but also fit well in a team-oriented, heroic narrative. Below are the guidelines for creating your character, including a detailed checklist for character bios.
Character Creation Rules:
- Content: Only Wizards of the Coast (WotC) approved content is allowed.
- Races & Backgrounds: Variant Humans are not permitted. All other races are permitted.
- Classes & Professions: All are permitted. Note that most magic users in this world are trained at the Arcanum Spire college. Druidic and village-taught magic exist but are less common.
- Alignment: Characters should be inclined towards teamwork and heroism. Avoid creating 'lone wolf' characters or those who would struggle in a group setting.
- Tone: The campaign is high fantasy with mystery elements and dark, evil occurrences.
- As seen in the House Rules, all players will be able to choose one feat at level 1. Feats are found in the compendium on Roll20 and can be drug to your character sheets.
- Equipment: Using starting equipment. Anything in the starting equipment is permitted. No additional coin.
- Mini: We will be using mini's for this campaign, I will print them and paint them if you want. Here is the link to create the mini and you can purchase the STL file and send it to me on discord: https://www.heroforge.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAjrarBhAWEiwA2qWdCAs3UfftAh2CSU6BBRUqepj99x5v6XUa_TKP3lvOKDLAbcxJ5QSuWhoCPtEQAvD_BwE
