Personal history

Markolf Walmann was born in Boralus, the capital of Kul Tiras, and was sent to the Tidesage Monastery in the city as a young child. There, he was taught the basics of arcane magics, and when he was a young adult, he began roaming the island nation, working as a mercenary mage. On his travels, he found Zoadur Magmagrip, a fellow arcanist. The two traveled together for a few years, becoming good friends.
In 4000, they heard about the Silver Dawn, and left Kul Tiras to find them. After several months, the pair arrived in Kaer Nyssen, and pledged themselves to the Dawn, becoming members of the Silver Hand. Following Kul Tiras' destruction, Markolf is hesitant to work alongside Lotor, but understands the strength the nation commands and believes it is better put to use at the hands of the Silver Dawn.
