Skimmers are hovering vehicles often deployed in waterlogged areas, areas with many rivers, or other such aquatic terrains as well as sandy terrains. Skimmers are hard to maneuver and are designed with broad bases to prevent them from tipping over. Skimmers are perhaps some of the worst vehicles in terms of performance and would be quickly replaced by alternatives if it werent for the utility of their hovering and ease of construction. They are reliable and useful, if not well made.
