Prices listed are assumed to be for average quality versions of the item and average availability and standard materials. Note that weapons may be restricted by laws as to who can own them legally.
For reference, average incomes by social class (jat) are provided in the table below. Note that months in Emala are 60 days long, and there are 360 days per year.

Shields
All shields have the Ranged Parry and Passive Block traits.
Ranged
Firearms
Bullets from firearms cannot be parried like normal ranged attacks. Although not parryable, if they hit a location blocked by a shield, the shield's AP applies as damage reduction.

Armor
Armor Penalty = ⌈(total ENC from all worn armor) / 5⌉.
Flexible armor can be worn by others within 1 SIZ of itself, while rigid armor must be the exact same SIZ to be worn.

Livestock
Clothing
Cheap clothing can be worn for one year before turning to rags. Average clothing lasts for two years of wear before being reduced to cheap status. Superior clothing lasts for three years of wear before being reduced to average status.
Characters always begin with a set of clothes appropriate to their social class.
